Kids RoadMap 2006

We are back from a very HOT time at Bammel Church of Christ in Houston! We visited many sites and prayed. Over 200 children and sponsors attended from all over Texas and one group from Oklahoma. Some of the sites that we prayed at were: The Family Law Center, Covenant House, Impact Church of Christ, Heights Church of Christ, and DePelchin Orphanage. We were going to pray at End Hunger Network, but Mr. Will's charter bus had a flat tire, so we PACKED ourselves into the other buses/people movers, and went back to Bammel.

One of the most special places that we prayed was at MD Anderson. We got to learn about the kids that are treated at MD Anderson and even met one of the doctors! We prayed as a group of 200+ for all of the doctors and patients. When we were in front of the main building, our Heritage group said a special prayer for Megann Shepard and her doctors. We also prayed for continued good health for Ricky King.

On Saturday night, we went to a concert in The Woodlands. We saw Brian Littrel, Sonic Flood, Newsboys, and some other Christian artists. Our kids really enjoyed it!

I want to especially thank all of the sponsors who went...

Mike Francis, Lee Maddox, Rick McCain, Laura McCain, Matt Johnson, and Karen Johnson

We couldn't have done it without you!

I know that I am bias, but we had the very best behaved children there! They are Tyler Brown, Caleb Birman, Luke Francis, Braden Keyworth, Brady Loomer, Carson Marek, Nicholas McCain, Zackri McCain, Jackson Miller, Taylor Moore, Kilee Norris, Josh Randolph, Reagan Roberts, Madison Stone, and Blake Thornton. I am so proud of them!!

Tonya, you need to fix your settings to allow anonymous comments. Right now the default is to not allow anonymous ones.

Glad everyone made it home safely!

Hi Cousin Tonya!

I just found your blog through tamandscott. How funny. When I got back from the LFR I looked at her pictures again and I had to do a doubletake! If you're not sure who I am, look at my profile picture... Sorry we've never really talked before. I talked to Tami briefly at the reunion. Anyhoo, I was tempted to take those funny photos from tamandscott's blog and post them on the galamberth myfamily site but I chose to be nice...this time!

hahaha, that's funny.

Tonya,
I want to say you are so appreciated by so many for working with the power zone kids. It is so awesome that you and your family are so dedicated to Heritage and the children there. Keep up the good work. You are amazing! You are planting seeds that God will continue to help grow.
